Hand penned petals.

These two cards were made using the  Hand penned petals stamp set. I wasn't sure about this set when I first saw it in the catalogue. I think I purchased it because I was running out of options. I am still not convinced  I did the right thing. I guess once I have played with it a little more, I may grow to love it. You may not notice but the large flowers I heat embossed in gold detail embossing powder. But the less prominent background flowers/ foliage I used various colours of ink to stamp the images.

I coloured the large images with Copic markers rather than use the infill stamps that come in the set. I wanted more accurate colouring than the infill stamps give.

I have to confess that I rather like the orange one....Anyone that knows me well,  knows  that yellow and orange are not colours I like. I will always opt for reds,  pinks, purples and blues.  It's very  rare I would choose orange and yellow...especially yellow. but I think I may have to change my way of thinking now. Especially as I did a version of this card in pinks, purples and blue and I hate it.

Colours make a big difference with this stamp. I prefer the orange shaded one as well. They are very nicely coloured.

Orange and yellow are my go to colors for flowers so this card really caught my eye! It is lovely and I really like how you’ve used some of the smaller stamps!!

I really like this set and have used it a LOT. I like the coloring with Copics that you did. I have only used the fill in stamps. I really like your orange and yellow one and love how you added the gold embossing. That is very nice. i don't care much for the pink one either. Funny how just changing the color changes everything!
