Silhouette scenes.. boy with plane

This is the card I posted on the demonstrators website it's had over 550 likes plus  a lot of comments , one of which was asking for a tutorial.  I am having issues again with videos so I've put together a photo tutorial in the post below.
It's not a difficult card to make and doesn't take a great deal of time to do.
The stamp sets use are silhouette scenes and natures beauty, plus a few stamps from Lavinia Stamps.
The Stampin' Up ink colours I used are; barely banana , melon mambo, highland heather, balmy blue and  black Versamark .

Bleach splatters were applied after I had brushed the colours on and before stamping the black silhouettes.

I use different foliage  stamps and changed the order of the colours on this .

The boy with binoculars  is from  the silhouette scenes stamp set too. I also sponged the  base card on this one, but I am not sure I like this though. The wisteria, rabbit and toadstool stamps are  from Lavinia stamp.

The girl on a swing is from the silhouette scenes stamp set. The foliage at the bottom of this scene are from the  retired Stampin' up set called pocket silhouettes. The branch and leaf stamp are from Lavinia stamps.

Baby /toddler birthday card

This was a quickie card again using the Baby love CD from Joanne Sheen this time I printed off one of the co-ordinating background papers.

The greeting is from the S.U set called "something to celebrate " and stamped using bashful blue ink.

Not a very adventurous or complex card but it was 2.30 am and I was feeling really tired by then. It's late againso I am off to bed hopefully I 'll catch up with some of the sleep I missed last night. nite nite X

Embossing resist

A nice little Thank you card,
I used the En Francais background stamp , Bella toile background stamp and the elegant Thank you stamp. Cake crumb and soft suede ink pads white taffeta ribbon all from SU and a black Vanilla card stock, clear embossing powder and a brayer, distressing tool and daubers.
I stamped and embossed the background images and went over them with cake crumb ink using the brayer. I then went over the lighter areas with a dauber and some soft suede ink. I distressed and inked all the edges.
I stamped the Thank You in Chocolate chip ink. Then it was just a case of matting all the layers and adding the ribbon.

Button Bracelet

This was frustrating for me to make, in my rush to get it finished yesterday, I kept threading the buttons onto the elastic back to front and then in the wrong sequence. I gave up with it until I got home and then finished it in my own time ....with out pressure.
I wasn't too sure about this project at first but it has grown on me.

Christmas Dinner Menus

This Christmas I am cooking Christmas dinner for hubby's mum, brothers, sister in law and Kris
It will be fun trying to fit us all around the table. Better make sure they all use the bathroom before sitting down to eat as I'll need a can opener to get them out once seated.
Anyway I decided to make Menus to go on the table, not only will it answer the guest s questions as to what's for dinner. But it will also remind me what I am supposed to be cooking so hopefully I won't forget anything........Well, that's the plan! but we all know what happens when we make plans.
Anyway, I never thought I would buy the "compliments to chef " stamp set from stampin' up, but last week I had this crazy notion to make menu s for Christmas day.
Alan's mum always says I do a nice table and I don't want to disappoint her this year.
I have chosen the baja breeze card stock as it is the closest colour to my tableware. I stamped the cutlery in versamark ink onto whisper white card stock and embossed with silver embossing powder. I did the same with the menu stamp . The decorative border was stamped and embossed onto baja breeze card and trimmed down to make the band running across the white card. I used versamark ink again and stamped the watermark "bon apetit " background. I then typed up my menu insert on my computer.
Adding comments next to some items for a touch of humour. My footnote was a public health warning... Any complaints.... keep them to yourself. DO NOT tell the chef or she may use the carving knife on you. Good job they all have a sense of humour.

The colour of the card stock looks a lot brighter in this photo due to flash.
