Sour Cream Containers

Had to have a play the other day and came up with these sour cream containers.
I used Stampin' up designer paper for the green on and I used the greenhouse garden stamp set from stampin' up to stamp a sheet of whisper white.

Faux Brads

To make your own faux brads you will need a 2 way glue pen, a hole puncher and a bottle of crystal effects.
First draw a line on some scrap paper with your 2 way glue pen, while the glue is drying punch out some holes in the card colours of your choice, retain the centres of the holes, these are going to be your brads. Once the glue is dry and tacky place each circle onto the line of glue and and press lightly into position. This Step is purely to hold your shapes down while you apply the crystal effects as they are too small to hold by hand.
I find that using a pin to hold these tiny circles down doesn't work for me, when I lift the pin out of the wet liquid the circle lifts up with the pin and then it always seems to drop and land upside down on another part 0f my project.
Anyway back to brads.....
Take your bottle of crystal effects taking care NOT to shake or disturb the liquid too much, as this will create bubbles in the liquid, tip the bottle up slowly and squeeze the liquid out gently on to each of your circles, covering each circle completely make sure you have gone right up to the edges, but NOT over the edges, as crystal effects is a pretty effective glue and DON'T want your circles stuck down to the scrap paper.
Once you have done this leave them to dry for several hours...... If you want them more rounded after they have dried apply another layer of crystal effects and leave to dry.
When you are happy and they are completely dry gently lift them from the scrap paper with a craft knife they should come up easily providing you haven't stuck them down with the crystal effects. you can now glue them to you project using a tiny, tiny dot of crystal effects.

Mini Scrapbook (The Cover)

Here is the cover of my mini scrapbook.
It was surprisingly easy to achieve.
I used three different scrapbook papers, inks and daubers, some lace, a strip of stampin'up s choc chip grosgrain, a strip of sticky flat back pearls, a Tim Holtz ornate frame, lots of vanilla and old olive ribbon and a paper flower with a couple of leaves.
I really enjoyed doing this cover and it took my mind off my ailments for a little while.
I am pleased with the way it turned out. Now I have to think about what I am going to put in the six empty pages. I have done a couple pages which are posted below.
Hope you like this one girls.
I got the blank book from Nancyz craft shop here in Basingstoke if you want to have a go at making a mini scrapbook. They are not very expensive either . BONUS!

Sale-a-bration

Try as I may, I just cannot get the sale-a-bration leaflet onto my blog, so for those of you who would like to view it, you'll just have to go to the Stampin' up website.
Sorry, but I have sat here trying different ways to get this leaflet on here for hours and have now given up trying. ( I told you I am not very good with computers.)
Do visit the Stampin' up web site to see these stamps, they are great and all you have to do is spend £45.00 on anything in the catalogue ( and that is very easy to do) and you will get a set of stamps of your choice from the four sets available on the leaflet with your order.
So go on spoil yourself, treat yourself to some new crafting goodies, you need a little treat for all that hard work you did over Christmas. hee hee.

Just contact me with your order and payment and I can arrange to have it delivered to your door.
I can't wait to get my sticky, inky mits on the bliss set. I am just having trouble deciding what I want next.......... so many stamps and not enough money.lol.

Ok , I have found another way to show you the stamps as I cannot add the flyer to my blog.Just going to prove that "where there's a will, there's a way."

Isn't this bliss set absolutely gorgeous.

This is a useful set, the greetings cover most occassions.

This one is useful too, No set flower arrangement so you can do your own thing.

Now this one may surprise you. there a punchfor all of these stamps apart from the owl,but rumour has it there is an owl punch coming to match this stamp too.

Christmas ornament card.

With my new ornament punch I created this card using real red and marina mist card stock , season of joy stamp set, a versamark pad, Cherry cobbler and marina mist ink pads, daubers and silver embossing powder.

I daubed the edges of my punched ornaments with co ordinated inks. I allowed the ink to dry then

stamped my images with versamark and applied the embossing powder and heated until melted. I drew in the hangers with a silver gel pen.

I then stamped and embossed the greeting.

Christmas easle card

This was a bit of an experiment really.

The bauble.

I used my largest circle punch to punch a hole in some scrap card and used the hole in the card as a stencil. I took a dauber and real red ink pad and daubed the outside edges of the circle working my way into the middle. I wanted the colour at the edge to be much stronger than in the centre.

I removed my stencil and dried the ink with a heat tool.I then stamped the snowflakes with versamark ink and embossed with silver embossing powder. Using my large circle punch again I punched out the bauble and mounted it onto green card which I had stamped with a pine needle stamp and glittered using a quickie glue pen and stampin up's green glitter.

Added a red bow and mounted onto red plaid paper then onto greencard then onto my easle card base.

Of course you could just ink the edges of the circle you punched out at the begining with your dauber.

My original intention was not to punch it out the end. I intended to stamp my pine branch directly onto the same piece of card as the bauble, but for reasons only known to me, I changed my mind.

Easle card

This take two, I had a bit more
time to plan
and find the stamps, inks and tools I wanted to use.
I prefer this version.
I used stampin up's elephant stamp from the animal stories stamp set . The Nursery letters wheel and the tiny flower from season of joy stamp set.....Thus proving this stamp set is not just for Christmas.

Pretty in pink and bashful blue ink pads were used.

Quicky Christmas Card

My sister stamped the background using one of her wheel stamps and white ink and left it for me to decorate. So having just bought the season of joy stamp set I thought I would finish it very simply. I stamped the wording and mounted it onto red card stock, then again onto white. I stamped the tree using handsome hunter ink, cut it out and using foam pads adhered the tree onto the card. The final touch was a the yellow crystal star on top of the tree. which is bearly visible in this photo.

Razzleberry and Old Olive Card

You have probably guessed by now that I love
the Old Olive and the Rich Razzleberry so I to put them together.
I used so the swirly wheel stamp and versamark ink for the background and Baroque Motif stamp set for the focal point of my card.

A simple Thank you.

Another very simple card. using it's beautiful wheel stamp from stampin' up and versamark ink, I rolled the wheel stamp along the bottom half of the old olive card stock ( the versamark ink leaves a watermark effect if left un embossed) .
I then added some old olive grosgrain and three pearls from stampin' up's pretties kit and my greeting which was stamped using the oval stamp set and the oval punches to cut them out.

Christmas tags

Yes!!!! I know, Christmas is still six months away but having got the Winter Post stamp set I really wanted play with these little gems. along with the Rich Razzleberry and Close to Cocoa ink pads.
These were just basic parcel tags daubed and stamped. I then added a few drops of glue here and there and sprinkled with dazzling diamond glitter. This is by far the nicest of the white glitters I have used, and I have tried quite a few.
I think if I were to use this on a card, I think I would probably mask off the deer in the middle before stamping the others so you don't get the double image. but for this little tag, I wasn't too bothered. Besides come Christmas when I need these tags, I won't have a clue where they are.
chocolate chip and pretty in pink card stock used for this one. I used the three in one bird punch for the leaves.

Felt flower card

Another from the training day.
I love the fact you can colour the bride card any colour you like with the inks and a dauber but given the choice, I wouldn't have chosen orange. It has to be the colour I like least.....and it just so happened to be the colour of the day.
