Harry's Card.

Just a quickie card created with a
Lili of the valley digital stamp.

This card is off to a young man who will be celebrating his birthday this  month.
I printed off the image onto whisper white card stock and coloured  the image with Copic markers and mounted onto some retired DSP

Dad's Birthday Card

Here is another one of those stamps that have been sat in a drawer for twenty years.  I have used Copic markers to colour most if the image. To colour the fine lines around the lighthouse and the fence I use Stamp and write markers.  I also drew in more rocks using a stamp and write marker.

I Love Lace Birthday Card.

I have been dying to get my hands on this lace background stamp.
The moment I saw it in the new catalogue I said to myself  I'm having that.

It is such a beautiful design and so delicate, how could I resist it.
I love it. I have so many  things I want to try doing with it, when I get a bit more time to play.
It's a stamp that is going to be very versatile. I can see this being
great for wedding cards , Valentine's , anniversaries, birthdays and vintage cards.

It's a large background stamp called "I love lace"  and it's in the new stampin up catalogue.

Here I have stamped just half of the stamp on to Cherry cobbler cardstock using
 Memento black ink.
I also added some crumb cake ribbon  and a bow.
I punched out  some flowers  using the Boho three flower punch and shaped them with a large ball tool.
I added some rhinestones and pearls to the centre of the flowers .

The birthday sentiment is from a stamp set called "Perfectly penned" again from SU.

Greg's Birthday Card

Yesterday was our son's birthday and I was stuck for ideas for a card for him. .  My mojo  has definitely been hiding from me this last week or so.
Time to get some inspiration from the internet.

After some time trawling certain facebook sites I came a cross a  very similar card to this created by Paula Knall which  took my fancy.
So I went into case mode and recreated her card,  but with a couple of differences.
I added the word son were  Paula's had a number and the sentiment is different as I don't have the stamp she used. I think this works.
The stamp set  used for the ink splatters and lines are from the Stampin' Up set Gorgeous Grunge and the chevron stripes were created with the chevron punch also from Stampin' Up.
Fortunately  for me this card was very quick to make as I only had and hour  to do the card, create an insert for it and cook dinner, before rushing round to deliver the card.

Matthews 18th

This easle card was made for the son of an old school friend. Who happens to be into sailing and I believe is well on his way to being a Marine. I used the sail away stamp in the a la carte range in Stampin' up's mini catalogue. This card measures 8"X 8" so it is quite large. I had to remove some of the ink from the hull of the boat before I stamped this as I wanted a splash of red on this card. Lots of daubing, paper tearing, matting and layering went into this card. There are two hidden pockets. One of which has tag with a greeting on and the other has a tag for the sender ( in this case, Mum) to write their own greeting on. This card used four sheets of black card one sheet of 12"x12" card in crumb cake, four sheets of whisper white card stock, and that's not counting the pieces I messed up on and had to do again , lol.I used a pair shoe laces for the knot. Click on pictures for a more detailed view. I cannot take all the credit for this card as it was inspired by a card I saw on an Australian demonstrators website.
