Baby Congratulations Card

Regular readers of my blog will know this Two by Two stamp from S.U is one of my favourite stamps for baby cards.  Although I used the stamp quite a bit,  I  tend to change the die or the orientation of the die when cutting out the image, of course I  also change the background papers and colours for  a different look.
I coloured the image with Copic markers and  a few S.U  markers.

A Couple of Baby Cards

I found some time to play this week and created this card for a  pregnant friend.
Her new baby is due any day now, so I thought I'd be prepared for the arrival.

I used the  retired "Two by Two" stamp for the image and coloured it with Copic markers.

I used S.U s  Blushing Bride DSP for the background.

I enjoyed making this card, so I made it again. This time I made my own background paper for this one.It turned out a little darker than I wanted, but it still works.

If you want to know how I made my background paper, take a look at the tutorial a 8 posts below.
The ink colours  I used this time are, Pool Party and Lost Lagoon.

Two by Two Baby Card.

You may remember  a few months ago I did a very similar  card for  a boy.

I rather liked the finished look of that  so when a friends daughter gave birth to a baby girl last I was inspired to make it again in girly colours.
I have also changed the shape of the topper.
Last time, I used the Top Note die , this time I thought I would try the oval and scalloped oval. ( from Spell Binder.)
The  stamp I used is called Two by Two which is now retired.
I used SU 's markers to colour most of the animals and boat,  but I confess to using my Copic Markers to colour the  elephants.

I hot foiled the Grandparent Greeting on this card and added  some  Dazzling Diamonds glitter to the waves and the rim of the boat.

The DSP I use was pretty in pink and has unfortunately been retired now.
