Baby Card

I had every intention of filling my blog with loads of new things for you all during the summer holidays, But life has a away of messing up the best of plans. I ended up re decorating my hall , stairs and landing and the kitchen and not without problems. Before I knew it the holiday was over and I had to go back to work.

I didn't get much chance to make anything over the holiday and those cards I did make were sent as soon as they were finished.

I am not sure that I am supposed to post this card yet as I have used part of one of the wheel stamps that is featured in the new catalogue being launched on the 1st of October.

I used the Nursery Letters wheel for the blue background. I randomly stamped the lemon background with with small flower from the christmas stamp set season of joy using versamark ink as I didn't want a bold background. The baby tees wheel and copic markers to colour in the clothes.

Baby's Pram card.

Here a few cards that have absolutely
No stampin up products in them.
Just a Cuttlebug embossing folder and a couple of different sized daisy punches and card stock.
A little tip for you If you want to make wheels for a Pram or maybe even a bike ( haven't tried making a bike,....YET)
Use a daisy punch and two sizes of circle punches.
I started by punching out a large circle in foiled card, Then punched the smaller centre circle from the background paper.
From the foiled card I punched out a daisy that was a little larger than the smallest circle, I then stuck the daisy in the middle of the smallest circle and trimmed off all the tips of the petals until the daisy was the same size as the circle underneath .
I then mounted the daisy section onto the larger circle.

peapod card

The Baroque motif stamped in green works well as the tendrils of the pea plant.
First I daubed the edges of white cardwith bashful blue ink bringing the ink quite a long way into the center but not all the way.
I inked up the baroque motif stamp with old olive ink and stamped it diagonally across the card.
I added a few small flowers and leaves and the punched out the peapod using the large oval punch twice and cut the inside edge to where I wanted it , daubed the edges with old olive ink and stuck on top of a darker green oval. I then punched a small circle daubed with blossom blush ink and just a touch of red for the cheeks, I drew on the face using the fine end of the stamp and write marker pens,
Then using a sticky foam pad adhered it to the top of the pod.
I then stamped my greeting, Then mounted the whole picture onto green card stock and again onto the plum card base.
