Invitation to a Soiree.

Tonight's post is an invitation to  a little soiree that's  happening in  approx  8 weeks .
I used the retired  Stampin' up background stamp "I love Lace".   I  really love the delicate pattern on this stamp.  The lace is so fine, but it heat embosses beautifully  if you use a fine "detail "embossing powder.  I  didn't heat emboss it on this card, but I  just couldn't resist telling you this is a great stamp for heat embossing.
For this card I stamped the image onto white card stock and cut the image into strips 1  1/4 inches wide and mounted each strip onto a piece of black card  1  1/2 inches wide.  Then I glued one strip along the top of a tent fold card and the other  along the bottom.
I stamped the greeting using a stamp from the Sincere Salutations stamp set from S.U.
The bow is made from black card.  I used the bow punch from Stampin' Up.

I may go a little quiet on here for a while.... I have got  a few of these to do  and I have a couple more projects on the go that require considerable amounts of time. But hopefully when I get  to updating my blog I will have lots to share with you all.

Hubby doesn't like this one.  It's too pale and plain for his tastes.
I think it's pretty and feminine without being fussy.

I used a large background stamp called "I love Lace". It's a retire stamp from Stampin' Up.
It's a beautiful stamp perfect for girly cards.

I stamped the lace image  with Versamark ink and heat embossed  it using white embossing powder.

I die cut a couple of ovals for the sentiment.

I added a bow in the same colour ribbon as the card, but the lighting at the time of the photo makes it appear more peachy than pink.

The sentiment stamp came from another retired stamp set called "Sincere Salutations".

Sorry the quality of this photo is not as clear as I would like, but I think it's clear enough to show the detail.

I used stampin' ups vintage vogue for this one plus a greeting from the sincere salutations set.

Marina mist card stock for the base and marina mist ink pad for the large flower. The small flower was stamped using the baja breeze ink pad. The leafy flourish I used old olive ink pad.

White grosgrain and a diamante finish off this card.
