Relentless Can Brooch

I had a lovely visit from Sharon another S.U
demonstrator, we sat in the garden eating chocolate muffins and
drinking coffee and generally
putting the worlds to rights.
Sharon brought along some things to show me she had made at a class, amongst her goodies were some brooches, which I immediately fell in love with .
They were gorgeous and I just had to have ago at making them. I had everything I needed to them apart from the drinks cans.
So off I trotted to the shop to buy some drinks cans. I took a fancy to the relentless energy drink cans because they come in green and purple, two of my favourite colours and they are a little Gothic looking and I love Gothic stuff. Trouble is I really can't stand the drink that comes in these cans. But I forced myself and Hubby to drink it. I really don't like wasting things so I couldn't just pour it down the sink.
Here is the brooch I made from the green can.
Using the daisy die, the big shot and a hot glue gun. It took me fifteen minutes to make, but that time included looking for my hot glue gun and waiting for it to heat up and doing a couple of other things too.
The second brooch I made was from Mirri card, which I stamped with black Stazon ink before cutting it out.
This time I added a button to the centre. I really want to make this using a Guiness can, I think the black and cream cans will look fabulous.

I wore both of these to Angie's workshop last night and the ladies loved them.
I think they would make good bracelets or hair band decorations or something to jazz up a tired looking handbag or just to embellish a gift box.
