Dad's Birthday Card

For Allison
I bought my first Digital Stamps this week, only two to see if i like them, while these Sugar Nellie designs are absolutely beautiful. I am still not convinced they are the way to go. Both types of stamps have advantages and disadvantages.
With the digital you can re-size them which is fantastic, they don't take any storage space apart from on your pc. But my first thought is you can't heat emboss them, not that you would want to heat emboss a stamp of this style.
But other designs you may.
Anyway I use versamark ink pad and the Vintage vogue stamp set to stamp the top half of my card. A Martha Stewart punch for the lace edges, Stampin up's designer paper, and a mixture of stamp and write markers and copic markers to colour it in. Oh, and some torn paper bashful blue ink pad and a dauber to do the sky.

Card For a Young Lady.
I found this Sugar Nellie stamp at The make it Show in Farnborough. I thought it was cute and pretty so just had to buy it. On the look out for more of these stamps now. I don't usually go for stamps that require a lot of colouring in, but I have to say I enjoyed colouring this one with my Copic markers. Author Francoise Read introduced me to these markers. I didn't really believe her when she said how good they were, but I bought a few anyway just to have a play and they are very nice to work with and blend beautifully. I done a couple more in different colours and using my SU stamp and write markers and they have come out really well. I still used my copics for the faces. Background paper is SU's designer paper in bashful blue and the ribbon is pretty in pink taffeta ribbon also from SU.
