fairy and stencilled background

I saw this idea on a Facebook group and rather liked the look, so I thought I'd give it a try. I used a stencil from Lavinia stamps, blending brushes and a few different  colour inks to create the background on these 5x7 inch cards. On the card above I dipped the edges of the card on the ink pad to give the impression of another layer and create a frame. Colours used were Pear pizzazz and Sahara sands.

On this one I used blending brush with the tiniest amount of melon mambo ink and the yellow was summer sun. Then stamped the fairy over the top. I used  stamp and write markers to colour the wings.   Then masked off the fairy  with scrap paper and brushed ink over the edge of the scrap paper to ground her.

For this last one I decided to work directly on the  5x7 card base making it a single layer card.
