adhesive remover cleaning...
I really wish I had taken a photo of this adhesive remover before I cleaned it, so you could see just how black and dirty it was with a load of punch confetti stuck all over it.
If you own and use one of these you will know just how difficult they are to get clean.
They are most definitely a card saver. I often get glue in the wrong place and this remover cleans it off a treat, But the down side of them is, due to their sticky nature they attract every bit of dust , glitter, embossing powder and the waste from dies and punches. They are a nightmare to clean, I have tried all sorts of things to clean them. It's always a time consuming and boring job. Once I have managed to get them clean, in no time at all, they are dirty again. I found a way that makes cleaning a bit quicker and another way of keeping them clean longer.
Soak them in hot soapy water and use a pumice stone to remove the dirt and debris. You can get them looking like new after a few minutes.
To keep them clean, cut two squares slightly smaller than the adhesive remover out of a cellophane card bag. Place one square on each side of the remover leaving the sides open. The adhesive removers are sticky to the touch so the cellophane bags sticks to them really well. As the eraser wears down peel back the film and trim it back . By doing this the large flat surfaces stay clean, meaning you only have to clean the edges when they get dirty.
