Cambridge Carols Again.

Have you noticed this  version of Cambridge Carols stamp is missing the skaters?

No,  I didn't mask them out,  They were there originally. I had a bit of a mishap on the lower half  of the image after I had stamped and coloured it.

I was pleased with my colouring on this one,  so I was really annoyed with myself for messing it up with ink smudges.

Salvaging my work wasn't  as bigger issue as I thought it might be. I simply  cut out all the of the frozen river,   then I stuck what was left  on a new, longer piece of card.
Extending  the river  meant the new  longer  image  now covers  almost all of my card front, So I don't need to add background papers.

This is beautiful. By far my favorite of all the ones you have done with this stamp. I also like the lady dressed in blue card. But without the holly and berries. It was really clever of you how you elongated the river and fixed your smudges. It is always so frustrating when you get a card nearly done and in the final minutes you smudge or cause some other type error. Usually mine blunder happens when I do the sentiment. But of course, those smudges can come up and rear their ugly heads anytime during the whole cardmaking process. On floral cards that is normally where a butterfly or ladybug gets added! Not so easy in the middle of a frozen river!

Thank You Tonilea. Isn't always the way...you spend hours colouring and planning then drop an ink pad or stamp on your work just where you don't want it. I have a few cards that have sentiments covering a ink spot, But many more that have gone in the bin. I was please I was able to salvage the frozen river.

I am sorry you didn't like the holly berries on the icy cold Cambridge carols card. I had you in mind when I added them.... I heard you saying add a touch of red.... ha ha ha.
I have to agree with you, they really don't look right on this card. However I have to say my camera does make the colour red so much more vivid than it actually is.Whic is really annoying. I am not a fan of bright red at the best of times and always opt for darker reds.
I really don't like the holly berries on that card either.

Tonilea are you an active demonstrator? Do you have a blog? I'd love to view your projects.
I'm always looking for inspiration.

No, I don't have a blog.
To be honest, I don't have a clue about how to have one. I am pretty illiterate when it comes to technology. I don't have a pinterest page either although I am frequent visitor and pinner. I am definitely NOT a demonstrator. Just a lowly stamper who, although I have been stamping for about 20 years, am still not very good at it. I am better at critiquing! I have done multiple crafts over the years but now primarily stamp. I just finished a card for my son's 38th birthday which I am pretty happy with. I don't do facebook or instagram or twitter etc so I don't know how to show it to you. It is not as technically correct as your stamping is, but I like it.
I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving and Merry Christmas if I don't happen to drop by again before that.
