Hearts and Flower Invitation.
My craft room has been in such a mess lately that today I decided I was going to clean it up.
But once I got in there and started tidying things away I found this flower I made when my big shot arrived.
So I decided to do something with it.
But I didn't want to get anything else out. So I confined myself to making a card using only the things that were within arms reach. The heart punches, the texture wheel stamp, a square punch, some pearly card and the big shot.
I punched hearts stuck them randomly on the front of the pearly card.
Then placed a large piece of card over the whole thing and ran it through the bigshot to inlay the hearts. It is important to sandwich your work in between card of the same colour as your work. For two reasons.......If you don't... you will end up with all the cut marks on your cutting mat etched into your work.
And two......I say use the same colour card , because if you have any exposed adhesive round the hearts it will stick to the upper layer of card, leaving you with tiny pieces of coloured card to painstakingly remove. It's not much fun trying to remove it.... I found this out when I made this card.
I ran over the whole piece of card several times with the texture wheel stamp and crumb cake ink.
I used the square punch to cut out the V in the banner on both layers of card.
I stamped the greeting using Early expresso ink, added the flower and mounted the whole thing onto chocolate chip card.
I don't think,NO! I am sure I wouldn't choose this card for a wedding invitation. It's to fussy for me the thought of making a hundred or more would leave me feeling suicidal. I would want to stop after only doing three of these.
Advice for anyone wanting to make their own wedding invites....... Keep them simple..... you may have to make a lot more than you have the patience to do.
