Travel Themed Wedding Invitations

If you are regular reader of my blog, you may remember a while back I was asked to come up with some ideas for a travel theme wedding invitation.
Well, after a discussion with the bride here's what we decided on.

Making 60 of these is  the reason I haven't   posted anything my blog for a while.

A passport style  cover  (which was hot foiled in silver.)  with  an insert with pockets,  to put  the luggage tag RSVP and a boarding pass invitation in.

The colour  chosen is S.U 's Marina mist card stock  and ink.

A whole host of stamp sets were used for this creation.

The motorcycle, artistic etchings, open sea, feeling sentimental and The world map background stamp.
Other tools sponges, corner rounding punch

After printing of the  passes and tags I masked off the front  to keep it clean while working on the back .
Then randomly stamped the back of each pass and tag,   then  sponged the edges.

Then I removed the mask and  softly sponged and stamped the front.

The above photo shows how I cut the card to make the pockets

Motorbike card

This card was made using the New motor bike stamp from stampin' up. I love this one.

The back ground is the chocolate chip designer paper and the bike is stamped in chocolate chip ink.

The greeting is the greeting at the bottom of the cake stamp in the fast and fun notes stamp set. I stamped the cake image then using the word window punch punched out the greeting, I punched a hole in the designer paper where I wanted my greeting to go and stuck the greeting in the matching hole I punched in the designer paper, I didn't want to just stick it on top as it tends to look a bit amateurish just stuck on, unless it's mounted that it. That's my opinion and of course as always you are free to disagree.
