Travel Themed Wedding Invitations

If you are regular reader of my blog, you may remember a while back I was asked to come up with some ideas for a travel theme wedding invitation.
Well, after a discussion with the bride here's what we decided on.

Making 60 of these is  the reason I haven't   posted anything my blog for a while.

A passport style  cover  (which was hot foiled in silver.)  with  an insert with pockets,  to put  the luggage tag RSVP and a boarding pass invitation in.

The colour  chosen is S.U 's Marina mist card stock  and ink.

A whole host of stamp sets were used for this creation.

The motorcycle, artistic etchings, open sea, feeling sentimental and The world map background stamp.
Other tools sponges, corner rounding punch

After printing of the  passes and tags I masked off the front  to keep it clean while working on the back .
Then randomly stamped the back of each pass and tag,   then  sponged the edges.

Then I removed the mask and  softly sponged and stamped the front.

The above photo shows how I cut the card to make the pockets

Amanda s card.

As promised here is the lovely card sent to me by my upliner Amanda.

Amanda has used the Artistic Etchings stamp set to create this card with a touch of the Victoria lace and a few sticky back pearls .

Versamark resist

My cupboards are all built, and are filling up fast.
Craft room is almost sorted, so took a few minutes out from the sorting and shredding of 20 years of paperwork and the cleaning today to have a play.

I love the versamark resist technique.
Lot's of chocolate chip ink applied with the brayer over the french script image,
which I had stamped using versamark ink and allowed to dry before applying the chocolate chip ink.
I punched some flowers using the three in one boho punch and vanilla card stock, daubed the edges, shaped and added a flat back pearl to the centre of each.
Hope you like this one.

How sweet are these little Origami baskets, They are made from a sheet of 12" x 12" designer paper no cutting involved at all, I have used some snail glue in places.

I loved making this so much I went on to make a few more.

I changed the size of the paper to 8"x 8" .just to see how small it came out. I did squish the base of the little one to give it a square-er look.

I decorated my white paper with the en francais background stamp, over stamping with the artistic etchings stamp set.

Inks used, Close to cocoa and Bravo burgundy.

French love note

I bought the Artistic Etchings stamp set and combined Paris' s famous landmark with the Enfrancias background stamp.

I used Red Riding Hood ink and card stock along with whisper white and black card stock and grosgrain.
