Well, Easter is almost upon us again, so time to break out the Easter baskets. Here is a nice simple basket to make, and it holds six eggs of the same size as those vile cream eggs.
All you need is one piece of double sided card or robust paper, 6 x 6 inches. One strip of coordinating card 1/2 inch by about 8 1/4 inches long, for the handle.
Score the 6 inch square card at 2" and 4" inches one side. Then turn the paper 90 degrees and
score at 2" and 4" inches.
Cut up to the score lines on opposite sides as in the photo above.Attach one end of the handle to the middle of the centre square.
Gently curve the handle with a bone folder by placing the strip of card between the bone folder and your thumb tightly and draw the card through. Glue the other end of the handle in position on the opposite side.
You could leave the basket like this if you have used a pretty paper...or you add spring flowers or a bow at each end of the handle to dress it up a little more.
Now this basket may look small but I can tell you it's like the Tardis, all seven of these eggs fit in this basket with room to spare.
I would suggest putting some shredded tissue paper in the bottom of the basket to partially fill it if you don't want to put in this many eggs .
