Dragonfly Card

Here is one I found while sorting through my craft
room. I don't remember posting it before so Thought I would add it now.
It's pretty straight forward just card in layers until you come to the top layer.
Here I sponged the blue background using a piece of torn paper as a mask to create the clouds. Gently sponging from  the torn paper over the jagged edge to smear  ink onto the  whisper white card. I kept moving the mask and repeating the process until the entire card was covered in clouds.

Once  happy with the  clouds I stamped the dragon fly  ( from the Natures nest set of stamps from SU)   in two places directly over the clouds.

Using the fine end of the stamp and write markers I coloured in the bodies of the dragon flies.

Now for the tricky bit,..... Sorry, I mean the wings. I used a small  piece of  White card stock  about 3" x 4"  as I only wanted two pairs of wings and maybe a spare bit  to allow for mistakes.

I took a tiny amount amount of White Frost Shimmer Paint (and I mean a   tiny amount You really don't need much paint for this affect.) What's in the lid after it's been shaken  is enough.
I scrunched up a some cling film into a loose ball, so it had lots of folds and creases in it. Dabbed it into the shimmer paint then onto  the white card,  dabbing  lightly all over until  I had a fairly even mottled pearly effect all over the white card.
I
I allowed the paint to dry thoroughly then sponged small patches of Tempting Turquoise and Pale Plum inks covering the entire card.
Once I was happy with the effect I inked the top half of the dragonfly with Stazon ink and stamped over painted card stock. Then cut out the wings applied glue and stuck them over the wings I  had stamped onto the sponged background.
For a little extra glitz I added a crystal to the body of the Dragonfly.

Magic Sliding Card

I am not sure how I feel about this card, it drove me mad while making it.
The Sliding panel doesn't slide as freely as I would like.

The tortiose was stamped on acetate and again on to a piece of card, which was then coloured in.

I drew in some foliage and rocks, daubed in the background colours then went on to make the card. I am not even going to begin to give you instructions for making this card.It would take me forever to try and put it into words and I didn't really enjoy making this one.Besides there are some good video tutorials on making these magic sliding card on You Tube.
